Philosophy

“We are, as a species, addicted to story. Even when the body goes to sleep, the mind stays up all night, telling itself stories.”

— Jonathan Gottschall

There are few things more impactful than a story. Since the dawn of time, human beings have used the art of storytelling to inspire, inform, communicate, and connect. Whether it be in the form of a narrative, an art piece, or music, stories have a way of drawing us in and shaping who we are and how we relate with the world.

Throughout my years working in the design business, I have come to appreciate that every company, organization, and initiative comes with a unique backstory: the single mom with a heart for African craftsmanship, the son carrying on a three-generation legacy, the NAVY veteran getting a fresh start. There is no business, logo, or website that does not have a human being on the other end, placed on this earth for a purpose. It is my mission to tell their story.

With graphic design as my canvas, I strive to use visual storytelling to share my clients’ message with the world, as well as improve the likelihood of their business success, so they can fulfill their dreams and reach their goals. “Fabelle” means “Beautiful Story.” Let’s tell yours.

About Rebecca

Rebecca Loomis is a graphic designer, artist, and author with a belief that beauty will save the world. Originally hailing from the New York Hudson Valley, Rebecca comes from a loving family of creative entrepreneurs. She studied entertainment media at a film school in California before transferring to Benedictine College, where she graduated summa cum laude with a degree in mass communications and a minor in art (2013). After college, Rebecca went on to spend three years doing state-side mission work via the non-profit, Saint Paul’s Outreach. Then she returned to the marketing industry, working for BBG&G Advertising before jumping into the cold waters of full-time freelance work, having offered photography and design services on the side since 2010. In 2017, Rebecca published her first dystopian novel, A Whitewashed Tomb, which was named by the Independent Book Publishing Professionals Group as one of the best indie books of 2018. She shares some of her insights on Skillshare.com, where she teaches writing and photography classes. Her artwork—supernatural ink portraits accented with metallic gold—can be found and purchased at rebeccaloomis.com. In her free time, Rebecca enjoys spending time with her husband and son, reading, social dancing, acroyoga, and exploring the great outdoors.
