Amado Gonzalez

It's hard not to love your job when it involves supporting the individuals, businesses, and bands that matter to you. I had the wonderful opportunity of designing a logo for Amado Gonzalez on the verge of his debut album, "Despite the Distance" (Coming 4/14/18). I can't wait to see it all over merchandise worn by his biggest fans!

“The album is a blend of Americana textures with the “take it or leave it” attitude of punk rock.”

AMADO GONZALEZ RELEASES DEBUT ALBUM; LISTEN TO “TENNESSEE,” ALBUM SINGLE

San Marcos, TX songwriting local, Amado Gonzalez is about to release his debut album. Recorded live in two days, the album is a blend of Americana textures with the “take it or leave it” attitude of punk rock. Despite the Distance recalls life in your twenties which leaves you strangely hopeful, even if simply for the fact that you’re lucky to still be alive.

Despite the Distance will be available April 14, 2018 following the band’s album release show in San Marcos, TX. The first 200 to preorder the album will also receive a free digital copy to share with a distant friend or loved one. The Daily Country is featuring album single, “Tennessee,” available for streaming now. Listen on Bandcamp and Soundcloud.

For the last two years, local San Marcos songwriters have heard Amado’s music and encouraged him to sit down with producer David Beck. Beck, just after moving to Nashville, agreed to fly back for a quick tracking session. Along with friends and collaborators Dees Stribling (drums), George Pappas (guitar, viola) and Nate Guthrie (mandolin) they tracked the entire album in two days. It was mixed within a week in Austin, TX.
