Top 9 Projects of 2019

2019 was a year of growing pains, which produced some of my finest work yet! It’s been an honor working with all of my incredible clients. Here are the top nine projects of the year.

1. Intervention Services

Logo Refresh, Rebrand, Website

Intervention Services, PLLC provides accessible, quality mental health counseling and consultation to students, families, schools and communities in Central Texas. The agency already had a website and logo, but wanted to improve their professionalism, visual aesthetic, and functionality.

2. CEDE

Logo, Brand

It’s easy to make a brand that’s pretty and plays it safe; and it’s another thing entirely to push the boundaries of what’s “normal” to achieve something truly new and unique. That requires boldness, courage, and a willingness to take risks. Since CEDE plans to invite students to do the same, it’s fitting that their branding reflects that.

3. OSV Innovation Challenge

Brand, Website

I was invited onto the Sherwood Fellows team to head up the visual branding and web design for one of their client projects: The OSV Innovation Challenge. We landed on a gritty, black-and-white, double-exposure photography-heavy style marked by bright pops of yellow and bold typefaces.

4. Abiding Together Podcast

Website

Abiding Together Podcast provides a place of connection, rest, and encouragement for people who are in the journey of living out their passion and purpose in Jesus Christ. The show hosts were in need of a platform to help people easily find and access its life-giving content.

5. Austin Catholic Women’s Conference

Logo, Brand

The Austin Catholic Women’s Conference is an annual day of fellowship, formation, and prayer for the women of Central Texas to receive rest, encounter and respond to the Lord, connect with community, and be equipped for evangelization.

6. Beaudry Hometown Insurance

Logo, Brand, Website

Beaudry Hometown Insurance was in the process of being passed down from one generation to the next—the third, to be exact. With that transition, the company was in need of a rebrand: one that would identify what set it apart from its competitors and communicate that reality visually to its insureds.

7. Heartbreak City Stripped

Album Design

From its early beginnings playing free shows at hole-in-the-wall Cheatham Street Warehouse to opening for Bob Seger, Blue Water Highway has taken center stage in the Americana music scene. The moody album design we ended up with for their newest record echoes the bluesy, natural, and intimate sounds of Heartbreak City Stripped.

8. St. Patrick Parish

Brand, Website

Another collaboration with Sherwood Fellows, St. Patrick Catholic Parish of Brighton, MI, was in need of a brand image and website that communicated authenticity, newness, hope, boldness, and tradition; and struck a balance between alluding to their patron’s story without relying too heavily on his Celtic roots.

9. Unleash the Gospel Magazine

Fine Art

The Archdiocese of Detroit, MI produces a print and digital bi-monthly publication for missionary disciples, each featuring a different artist. I had the privilege of creating four fine art pieces for the June/July 2019 issue surrounding the theme of Kerygma.

Rebecca Loomis
