St. Joseph’s of Greenwich Village NYC Parish Website

St. Joseph’s Church in Greenwich Village is the oldest Catholic Church in New York City. Its pastor, Fr. Boniface Endorf, was spearheading a project to return it to its architectural glory and to install the city’s very first perpetual adoration chapel. Alongside the building’s reconstruction, the parish had recently undergone a rebrand to appeal to the younger, tech-savvy, artistic demographic that made up a good half of St. Joseph’s parishioners. CEDE: Catholic Entrepreneurship & Design Experience

It’s easy to make a brand that’s pretty and plays it safe; and it’s another thing entirely to push the boundaries of what’s “normal” to achieve something truly new and unique. That requires boldness, courage, and a willingness to take risks. Since CEDE plans to invite students to do the same, it’s fitting that their branding reflects that.
